What is charcuterie?

Charcuterie refers to a culinary art of preparing and arranging a selection of cured meats, such as salami and prosciutto, along with various accompaniments like cheeses, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, crackers/bread, honey, and jams to create an appealing and diverse spread of flavors and textures. It is often served as an appetizer or a centerpiece for gatherings, offering a delightful combination of savory and savory-sweet bites.

How do I place an order for a product?

Go to our Products tab at the top of the page and navigate to the category of product you want (i.e., board, box, snack cup, or event catering). Click on the desired icon and navigate to the specific product you want. Fill out any specific information requested on the product and then Add to Cart. In the upper right hand corner of the screen click on the shopping bag. Follow the checkout prompts.

How far in advance do I need to place an order?

All orders will need to be placed at least 2 days prior to the date of delivery.

For all short notice orders, reach out to us with your request via the Contact tab located at the top or bottom of the website. We will review and let you know if we will be able to accommodate your order - we will sure try! A rush fee will apply.

Can I customize items on my charcuterie board?

There are options on each product checkout page to specify what type of board you want: regular, vegetarian, nut free, or gluten free!

You can add a specific cheese word customization such as "Happy Birthday", "You Rock", 'Congratulations", etc.

You can also add a note on any special requests you have on the product checkout page. We will review and do our best to accommodate. Please note, each board is curated to provide a wide assortment of ingredients and flavors to cater to all preferences!

For luxury spread event catering, we will work with you to ensure the offerings provided meet your specific requests and wishes (as long as those fall within our capabilities.)

What type of dietary options do you have?

There are options on each product check out page to specify what type of product you want: regular, vegetarian, nut free, or gluten free!

Are your ingredients sourced locally?

We include locally seasonal products as availability allows.

Do you provide serving utensils and plates?

We provide mini tongs, wooden spoons, and honey wands with each order of a Picnic Box or board.

For luxury spreads, we can add plates and napkins on to your order as an add-on, if needed. All serving utensils are included.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Orders cancelled 48 hours (2 days) or more prior to order date will be eligible to receive a full credit towards a future order.

Orders cancelled less than 48 hours (2 days) prior to order date will be ineligible to receive a refund. 

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! We've got you covered. Our products make the perfect gift for any occasion. Click on the Gift Cards tab in the menu.

Cheese and Charcuterie Boards/Products

What is included in your cheese and charcuterie boards?

Our cheese and charcuterie boards consist of a variety of gourmet cheeses, such as soft, semi-soft, and aged cheeses, representing different textures and flavors. It is complemented by an assortment of cured meats, such as prosciutto and salami, along with accompaniments like crackers, bread, fresh or dried fruits, nuts, olives, pickles, honey, and/or jam, creating a balanced and flavorful tasting experience.

How much cheese and charcuterie do I need for my event?

For appetizer portions, plan for approximately 2 ounces of cheese and 1.5-2 ounces of charcuterie per person. Our serving sizes and quantities for each board factor this in.

Do you offer options for themed or seasonal products?

Our board ingredients offer seasonal produce and will change based off of what is currently in season and availability.

Some holidays will have themed boards available.

How long can my cheese and charcuterie sit out before it needs to be refrigerated?

Cheese and charcuterie should be refrigerated until ready to serve. It should sit out for no longer than 4 hours.

How long will my cheese and charcuterie stay good for?

For optimal freshness and flavor, cheese and charcuterie should be consumed within 24 hours of delivery. However, leftovers can be can be consumed up to 3-5 days after (use your best judgement). It should be refrigerated and not left our longer than 4 hours at a time.

Is there a pick up option or do I have to do delivery?

At this time, Wedge and Slice Charcuterie Co. is only offering delivery to areas within a 25 mile radius from Fair Oaks, CA.

We are working on identifying an option for pickup in the near future!

What types of events do you cater?

All types! Corporate/business events, workshops, weddings, bridal showers, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements - you name it!

Our catering services start at a 25 person minimum.

The only thing we need from you/the venue is a flat surface to set up the luxury spread!

What is the minimum order size for event catering?

What is included in your luxury charcuterie spread event catering?

Our luxury spreads pull out all the stops! They include:

- A cheese and charcuterie spread with a wide assortment of: gourmet cheeses, premium cured meats, crackers, fresh bread, seasonal fruit/vegetables, dips, nuts, honey, jam, and various accompaniments (i.e., olives, pickles, chocolates, etc.)

- Cutlery: Mini tongs, wooden spoons, honey wands.

- 1:1 coordination call

- Full set up prior to start of event.

- Decorative fresh greenery and florals.

How do I place an order for luxury grazing spreads and event catering?

Click on the Events Catering tab at the top of the page (or side drop down menu if on mobile). Fill out and submit the informational form on the page. Upon receipt, we will review and follow up with a quote for you to review and approve.

Is there a set up fee for event catering?

The set up fee is based off the size of the event and will be included in your final quote.

Do you provide serving staff for catered events?

Our luxury spreads are designed and set up to be self-serving.
